Chest tomb. Circa 1821. Sandstone. Rectangular, slightly tapering
to ends, with moulded capping and plinth supported on carved feet. Slightly
chamfered top ledger surmounted by scalloped urn finial with stylised
overlapping leaf decoration to rim. Inscription panels with fluted
fans to spandrels, south commemorating John Dodd of Bagley (died 1821)
and further inscrptions to various members of Dodd family on other sides,
including to top ledger. West end has circular recess with fluted fans
to corners and carvings of 2 hands pointing upwards to hour-glass.
Formerly stood within railed enclosure of which stone base survives.
