Disused Thatched Cottage 10 metres Wes
t South West of No 225 (Knapp House)

Cottage, now garden store; possibly C17. Stone, local square in random courses,
with Thatch roof, now covered with corrugated iron. One storey with attic the
ground floor at two levels. South elevation nominally 3-bays, random
fenestration; off centre a C19 ledged and braced door, and to the right a
3-light window: to first floor 2 dormer windows in the thatch, the right hand a
3-light casement with diamond leaded panes and the left 2- light with
rectangular leaded panes. Internally the floor removed from the Eastern half at
first floor level - this section three steps lower at ground floor level:
fireplace/oven in East wall; central timber partitioning, with winding stairs to
first floor.
