Farmhouse of late C18 (possibly part rebuild of that date). Ham stone squared
and random coursed, with ashlar dressings, with Welsh slated roof between coped
gables, with end chimney stacks (rebuilt in ? reconstructed stone). A 2-storey
3-bay facade, with central projecting Roman Doric porch with full entablature
and flat roof, protecting an inappropriate late C20 front door: to the sides at
both levels 3-light hollow chamfer mullioned windows with label mouldings and
rectangular leaded panes, and above the entrance door a matching 2-light window.
The side elevation shows that the roof is double, otherwise the other elevations
are unremarkable. The interior not seen. The stable/coach house in the grounds
much altered and not included in the listing, but the local stone boundary walls
are included (these average 1.5 metres high) including the lower wall along
Tintinhull Road, which for about 10 metres length has wrot iron railings with
arrowheads, scroll braces, and urn finials at intervals, being about I metre
high on a 500mm high stone base.
