2/21 Wheelwright's Cottage
(also known as St James' House)


House. Early C19. Local stone cut and squared with Bath stone dressings; Welsh slate roof with stone ridge and
bargeboarded gables; brick end chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Margined sash windows with additional vertical
glazing bars set in plain surrounds; 6-panel central door in C20 timber porch, and above this a slim semi-circular
headed window. Extensions of C19 and C20 to North, one housing a garage and another representing the former
wheelwright's workshop. Interior has Regency style doors and simple staircase.
