Boundary marker stone. C18. Doulting stone slab, about 350 mm wide and 100 mm thick, with segmental top in all about
600 mm high; incised with words: "Here ends Discove Road". Believed to pre-date the Bruton Turnpike Trust which took
over this road in 1756, and to define the limit of responsibility of Discove hamlet for road maintenance - a very rare
survival.
