Detached House. Late C18. Local stone rubble with Doulting stone dressings; hipped Welsh slate roof; brick end chimney
stacks. 3-storeys, 3 bays. Square bay windows with composite sash windows and lead flat roofs to outer bays, ground
floor; central pair 3-panel doors in semi-circular sub-arch with radial glazed fanlight in stone surround with flat
Doric pilasters and open pediment hood; 16-pane sash windows in plain ashlar surrounds to first floor, and 9-pane
sashes to second. Lean-to conservatory on South West corner. Building date unknown, but occupied by William Pearce in
1798. (Couzens P, Bruton in Selwood, Abbey Press, Sherborne, 1972).
