hydrant, outside No 13 Church
Village stocks and hydrant. Uncertain date; C19. Stocks oak panels with iron bindings, 4 leg holes: immediately to
South a cast iron water hydrant; sunken base; fluted pillar with spout at top; ring with valve knob and domical top
with bud finial: one of several surviving in the parish - the only example included in the list. The stocks, last used
in mid C19, were removed by a local gentlewoman in 1908, and replaced after an argument over several months, complete
