Five of row of six cottages. c1840. Local stone ashlar; Welsh slate roofs with ornamental bargeboarded gables; yellow
brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, one bay each; middle pair cottages project with double gables. Small pane casement
windows, 3-light below and 2-light above, set in voussoired segmental arched openings; slate and timber verandahs to
two outer pairs; studded boarded doors in heavy frames, set in returns of projections, immediately adjacent to same,
and at ends of block. Interiors not seen. Five cottages basically unaltered; no 640 was adapted in early C20 to form
part of attached C. of E. V.A. Primary School, and therefore not included. Forms good group with Parish Church (qv) and
former Vicarage (qv).
