Portion of medieval cross,sixty metres south east of Corton Denham House

Base of cross.Possibly C14.Ham stone.Base about 800mm square,with corner broaches,about 450mm high;shaft fragment about 400 wide and 1 metre high,chamfered and broached, with remains of carved detail on north face.Discovered in C19,and set up in grounds of former rectory by Revd W.B Portman,who was rector at the time of the rebuilding of Church of St Andrew (qv).
