Cottage. Probably C18. Local stone coursed rubble; Welsh slate roof with sawn stone ridge between stepped coped gables;
brick end chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. 3-light casement windows with earlier frames and later horizontal bar
inserts, under exposed timber lintols; 6 flush-panel door with glazed toplights in heavy frame to bay 2, with timber
lintol and flat timber hood on brackets. Interior has several C18 features including 'L'-plan staircase with return
handrail to landing, and a variety of 2,4 and 6-panel doors; in South room a shell head cupboard recess, fielded panel
window seats; in North room wide fireplace with cambered arched bear. Said by owner (March 1983) to be a former
chandler's shop.
