Gate piers and gates, about 65 metres North of Bowling Green House
GV II
Gate piers and gates. Probably 1914. Designed by E. Guy Dawber. Local stone cut and squared, oak gates. Piers about 500
square, penultimate course projecting, and then sweep up to cast stone peacock finials. Gates have lower sections of 3
fielded panels each, with simple balusters and elaborately shaped top rail. Specifically designed as part of setting to
important C20 house (qv).
