ST6718 MILBORNE PORT CP EAST STREET (South side)

12/129 Nos 29 and 30, with front
boundary walls

GV II

Pair cottages. Late C19. Local stone cut and squared; Welsh slate roof with bargeboarded gables and chunky eaves
soffits and fascias; brick chimney stack. 2- storeys, 2 bays each, with side entrances in single storey lean-to
additions with false parapet fronts. Plinth, band course: 2-light casement windows with elaborate marginal and diamond
pattern frets- fine timber imitating cast iron with crown glass, in simple openings with gauged stone almost flat
heads. Interior not seen. Linked to no 31 (qv) by porch and forms good group. 3 metres from house is the boundary wall
of coused squared stone and angled concrete copings; small fielded panel piers with plain coved tops to gateways and
South end of wall, all contributing to the setting of the houses.
