12/134 Offices to Tannery

GV II

House, now part of offices to Tannery. c1700. Local stone coursed rubble with ashlar dressings; Bridgwater patent
triple angle clay roof tiles between coped gables; brick end and intermediate chimney stacks. 2 storeys with attic, 4
bays. Entrance elevation to North much altered, surviving is one plain chamfer mullioned window without label to lower
bay 3. South elevation has horizontal bar casement windows, 3-lights above under timber lintols, 2-lights below under
labels, with common lintol bays 1 & 2: moulded cambered arched doorway between bays 2 and 3; to bay 4 a return wing of
C20, of little interest. West gable has plain chamfer mullioned windows, one at each level, 3 lights to main floors,
the upper with leaded lights, and 2-light to attic: set in gable a rectangular panelled stone, possibly a datestone but
inscription now lost, under a hood mould. Interior not seen.
