Linking corridor. 1835-36, by Decimus Burton. Red brick with Ham stone ashlar dressings; timber and glass roof. Two
storeys; 10 bays visible on North side, 7 on South. South elevation has stone arcade with semi-circular arches, Tuscan
pilasters between bays and simple entablature over; pairs 10-pane French doors under radial glazed fanlight to each
archway: lower storey concealed by terrace. North elevation mostly brick, with string course between floors and at
impost level: 10 bays visible, with high level semi-circular windows in architraved surrounds with keystones: plain
timber doors to basement stones in alternate bays. Part of the setting to an important Country House.
