Chest tomb. C16. Doulting stone. Moulded base; plain sides and flanks; dentilled under-frieze course, plain inscribed
frieze; flat top with rounded leading edges. Inscription around frieze reads 'HERE RESTETH THE BODY IOF IOHN/COSENES
WHO/WAS BURYED THE 19 DAY OF FEBRVAR/ANNO 1590. Some other C17 inscriptions on sides. One of the earliest chest tombs
in the area, of unusual pattern and quite well preserved.
