Semi-detached house and shop. Early C19. Cary stone cut and squared; plain clay tile
roof between coped gable to west and abutment to east; brick chimney stack. Two storeys,
2 bays. Above, 16-pane sashes in plain openings under timber lintols; below, to bay 1 a
single-storey angled bay window with plain sashes and hipped Welsh slate roof; to left
of bay 2 a part-glazed door in heavy frame, up 3 steps, under timber lintol cutting into
an earlier arched opening; to right a late C19 shop window of 4 elliptical-arched lights
with transomes flanked by panelled pilasters, under very thin fascia with signboard
mounted over. Interior not seen. One metre in front of building cast iron railings of 3
horizontal rods carried by cast pillars at about one metre centres, with gap to doorway
and gate on return at west end, contributing to setting of house and to streetscape at
this point.
