Two chest tombs: (a) Plimton monument about 4 metres south of chancel doorway: Chest tomb. C17. Ham stone. Moulded
plinth: plain sides and flankes; cyma-recta coving to heavy flat top. Commemorates Thomas Plimton, died 1672, and
Thomas Plimpton the Younger, died 1665, with others. (b) Baker monument about 6 metres south of chancel window: Chest
tomb. Ci7. Ham stone. Base buried; plain sides and flanks: cyma-racta coving to heavy flat top, Commemorates Joane
Baker. daughter of Robert, died 1678 (This inscription in simple incised 'frame' with crude hourglass aid face in-side
panels); others commemorated include Robert Baker died 1735.
