Entrance gateway. Early C19. Ham stone ashlar with cast-ironwork. Set of 4 piers the 2 centre piers about 4 metres
tall, having 3 fielded panels each face, cornice caps and C20 urn finials, the 2 outer piers about 2.5 metres tall in
rusticated ashlar with one flint panel each face, cornice caps end C20 ball finials: the central gates in heavy cast
ironwork, presumably early C19, with arrowhead rails, double middle rail with crossbracingq to lower panels, swept
curved tops: matching side panels between principal and subsidiary piers. Gateway has important group value with
Cricket Court (qv).
