House and shop in row. C18, modified in C19. Ham stone, large stones roughly cut and squared; double Roman clay tiled
roof with ornamental terra-cotta ridge, continued on both sides; no chimney stacks visible from front. Two storeys, 3
bays. To first floor, 2-light horizontal-bar casement windows; to ground floor a C20 part-glazed door in recess with
timber lintol to bay 1; to bays 2 and 3 a shopfront of 3-pane units flanking a pair of recessed part-glared doors
with fanlight over, with slim wooden side pilasters and their fascia over, Interior not seen, Included principally for
group value. (Attached to east is No 46 (qv) and to west No 48 (qv)).
