ST4312 MERRIOTT CP BOWOOD LANE (North side)

8/101 Eggwood Farm

II

Detached farmhouse. Late C18/early C19. Ham stone cut and squared, ashlar dressings; thatched roof between stepped
coped gables; brick chimney stacks. Two storeys, 4 bays. Casement windows with horizontal bars, 3-lights, to all but
first floor bay 3, which is a plain 2-light casement. Ground floor windows have keystoned lintols. C20 doorway to right
of bay 1 and a studded boarded door probably the original to bay 3, both under keystoned lintols. Bay 1 apparently
largely rebuilt after a collapse. Plain gables; attached to east gable a tall lean-to building, with false 3-centre
arched doorway. Interior not seen.
