Shown on O.S. map as Lilac Lodge. Detached cottage. C19. Possibly by Sir George Gilbert Scott, architect of Moorlands
(qv). Ham stone cut and squared, ashlar dressings; Welsh slate roof with plain overhung gables; brick chimney stacks in
pairs, set diagonally on square bases. Two storeys, 3 bays, of which the centre bay is a narrow, gabled projection.
Hollow-chamfer mullioned windows in chamfered recesses. Ground floor has a 3-light to lower bay 3, and bay 1 has a
single-storey 1+3+1 light angled bay with hipped stepped stone roof. First floor has bays 1 and 3 are 3- and 2-light
without labels, upper bay 2 has a single-light with label. All windows rectangular leaded. Lower bay 2 has a plain
chamfered doorway with label stepped up over a plain shield plaque. Two 2-light windows without labels in north gable.
