Five chest tombs. Late C17 to early C19. (a) Slade monument about 5 metres south of chancel: Chest tomb, C18. Ham
stone. Moulded base; one panel each end and 2 each flank, with fluted Ionic cusped pilaster, no frieze; moulded coving
to hipped top with rounded leading edges: commemorates James Slade, died 1722, and others. (b) Grey monument about 6
metres south-south-east of chancel: Chest tomb. Early C19 Ham stone. Moulded base: outwards sloping sides, with console
profile corner pilasters, no frieze; moulded coving to hipped top. Commemorates Elizabeth, relict of William Grey, died
1820. (c) Cleeves monument about 8 metres south-south-east of chancel: Chest tomb. Late C19. Ham stone. Moulded base;
one fielded panel each face, with 3-panel pilasters to flanks, no frieze; moulded coving to shallow hipped top with
moulded leading edges. Commemorates Edmund Cleeves, died 1790. (d) Unidentified monument about 9 metres south of
chancel: Chest tomb. Late C17. Ham stone. Moulded plinth; panelled sides with semi-circular arched panels having
imposts and keystones, one each end and 2 each flank; inscribed designs to flat pilaster on flanks; cyma-recta coving
to heavy hipped top. Inscription lost. (e) Withey monument about 12 metres south-east of chancel: Chest tomb. Early
C19. Ham stone. Moulded plinth; one fielded panel each face, with fluted pilasters to flanks; moulded coving to shallow
hipped top with rounded leading edges. commemorates George Withey, died 1829.
