metres South of the South porch,
Church of Saint James

Chest Tomb. Mid C18 Ham stone ashlar, carved: base mould buried at time
of survey (1983), plain sides with incised decoration only, flat heavy
top with only little moulding. Inscriptions very worn - Higdon family
name, earliest date discernible 1763.
