8/34 The Old Rectory



Rectory, now private house. C1800. Ham stone ashlar to main facade, with
dressings to local stonework at sides; Welsh slate double roof behind
parapet with high copings; one stone and one brick end chimney stacks.
2-storeys, 3-bays with side entrance. High plinth, with 2-cast-iron
frame basement windows; 2-angled bay windows with 12-pane sashes and
lead hipped roofs to ground floor, centre bay blank; above three 9-pane
sashes in raised surrounds with string course between floors; heavy
debased cornice and parapet. Flat roofed colonnade with square columns
to single storey entrance lobby; 2-storey flat roof extension to rear.
