ST51NE MUDFORD CP MAIN STREET (West side)

6/97 quoins, with front boundary
railings, gate and short brick
return walls

Cottage. Early C19, modified. Brick, Flemish bond, with gauged flat brick
arches with Ham keystones; Welsh slate roof between coped gables; brick
end stacks. 2-storeys, 3-bays. Late C20 central front door with timber
surround and corbel bracketted heavily moulded hood; 3-light lower
casement windows and 2-light upper casement windows, all with horizontal
glazing bars, all outer windows fitted with shutters. Front boundary
railings of C19, in wrought iron; railings have pointed tips and urn
finials on each side of the matching gate. Return wing walls with small
Ham stone end piers having pyramidal caps; thin stone copings to 2
metres of wall with sweep up to house.
