4/158 Vale House



Detached house. Early C19. Local lias stone cut and squared; Welsh slate roof with simple gables; brick end chimney
stacks. Double roof plan; 2 storeys, 3 bays; sash windows of 16-panes flanked by louvred shutters and set under timber
lintols; to bay 2 a 6-panelled door in semi-circular arched opening under radial glazed fanlight, with anse-de-panier
timber and lead covered hood in simple brackets, this last possibly early C20. At rear, small semi-circular headed sash
window to stairwell, and in attic gable of rear extension, to north, a 2-light hollow chamfered mullioned window,
possibly C19. Interior not seen.
