Detached House. c1840. Local lias stone cut and squared, pecked finish, Ham stone dressings; Welsh slate roof with
gable overhangs; rendered brick chimney stack. 'L' plan, 2 storeys; south elevation of 3 bays, of which the centre bay
is a projecting gable. Sash windows of 16 panes in plain openings with deep stone lintols; in bay 2 cambered arched
moulded doorway with incised spandrils and square label, shaped door with plain toplight, above which is a stone panel
with coronet over a letter 'I', presumably for Lord Ilchester, who developed the dairy farms in this village in the
1840s (VCH vol III, 1974).
