Detached farmhouse. C17, extended C18. Ham stone ashlar; triple-roll clay tiled roof between coped gables; brick
chimney stacks. 'T'-plan: 2 storeys; 4-bays, of which the east bay 1, may be later. Plinth, eaves course:
hollow-chamfer mullioned windows, 3-light above and lower bay 4; 4-light lower bay 1 and between lower bays 2 and 3;
continous string bays 2 to 4, stepped up over chamfered cambered-arched doorway to bay 3, which has a C20 boarded
door: added window left of lower bay 2 to what was former gable staircase: Sun Insurance fire plaque between upper bays
2 and 3 (affixed Christmas Eve 1749, according to owner). Interior not seen, but reported is a cross-passage plan, deep
chamfer beams with step and runout stops; central room has a 4-panel ceiling, cambered arched fireplace with side stone
doorway; rear extension has wide fireplace and signs of curing chamber; roof trusses not examined. (VAG Report, SRO
Unpublished March 1981).
