11/79 Bridgestone Cottage

Detached cottage. C17 origins. Ham stone coursed rubble, some ashlar dressings; thatched roof between stepped coped
gables; brick end chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays irregular fenestration. Mostly horizontal-bar casement windows;
3-light later pattern bay 1, with timber lintel below; 2-light later pattern upper bay 2 and lower left bay 3; to upper
bay 3 later casements in earlier frame, and to lower bay 3 right a 3-light ovolo-mould stone mullioned window with
label; to lower bay 2 a boarded door with light cut in, set in plain opening, up 7 steps. In west gable a stone incised
"TS 1754"; a 2-light casement to first floor, and a C20 casement in former dorway below. Interior not seen.
