Railings with gate, boundary wall and steps. Early C19. Steps of Ham stone. Flanked by cut and squared stone walls
with thin flat Ham stone copings, on North West corner of Almshouses. Railings of wrot-iron, from North West corner of
Almshouses, with gate at head of steps, and return of approximately 35 metres length on West side about 5 metres from
houses; railings about 700 mm high with skirted diamond spear tops, matching gate and posts; the railings set on a Ham
stone ashlar base wall approximately 850 mm high. Of great value in setting of Almshouses (qv) and approach to Church
of Saint Michael (qv).
