No.23, with front boundary wall

Cottage. C17. Local stone cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings; pantiled roof with stepped gable to East side
only; brick end chimney stick. 2-storeys, 2-bays. Hollowed chamfered mullioned windows below, of 3-lights, with
unworked top mitres and no labels; above two small 2-light casements; chamfered cambered arched central doorway with
thick lintel, with part-glazed C19 4-panel door. West gable rendered and buttressed after demolition of No 25 High
Street. Interior not seen. 2 metres from cottage the North boundary wall in local stone rubble about 3 metres high:
important for the safety of the house, and with impact on the street scene. Attached on left to No.21 High Street (qv).
