Boundary wall and gateway. Probably C17. Ham stone ashlar. Walling about one metre high, with plinth and pitched top
coping; central raised gateway with arch, with coping moulding continued to sides and head; chamfered cambered archway
with C20 timber gate; on the lintol an inscription reads "THIS HOSE WAS FOVNDED BY JOHN WHETSONE GENTLEMAN/FOR THE
RELEEFE OF THE PORE OF ILTON AND DNI 1615". The whole forms an important part of the setting to Whetsone's Almshouses
(q.v.) and an important isolated element in the street scene.
