Detached former farmhouse. C14 or early C15, modified early C16 and later. Local stone cut and squared, timber framed
and rendered west gable; thatched roof with coped east gable, plain west gable; brick chimney stacks. Single- storey
with attic, 5-bay north elevation, fo which bays 1 and 2 are in outshut, continued as an open porch to bay 3. Bays 1
and 2, and upper bays 3 and 4, have 3-light leaded casement windows; lower bay 4 has a timber chamfer-mullioned 3-light
window under stone label, with circular window inserted to left: bay 3 has a boarded door in heavy timber frame, and bay
5 has a C20 boarded door with small leaded sidelight. East gable has a 3-light early pattern casement window below, and
2-light stone chamfered mullioned window above, with unworked top mitres and label, also a small stairlight. West gable
has a now exposed post and truss with C20 casement inerted. South elevation has further stairlight, leaded casements,
and to first floor a 4-4 light ovolo mould mullioned timber window and boarded panel unit in swept dormer. Inside a
further post and truss frame in west section, then a jointed cruck frame; C16 fireplace with early pattern smokehood
traces of a stone newel stair: hall has 9-panel ceiling with deep chamfered beams; traces of bread oven in wide east
