GV II

Semi-detached house. Mostly C18 and C19, possibly with earlier origins. Ham stone cut and squared, ashlar dressings;
thatched roof with hipped west gable, continuation to east; ashlar octagonal-plan chimney stacks with moulded caps, set
in pairs. Two storeys; 3 bays, of which bay 3 is a projecting 2-storey porch. Casement windows of 3-lights, early
pattern with iron-framed opening lights, the lower with timber lintels; projecting porch has a 4-centred chamfered
archway below, with a C20 inner door in new frame; above a blind chamfered lancet window, with similar blind windows to
sides at lower level: traces of a former opening to left of bay 1. Against west gable a single-storey wing of 3 bays
with double-Roman clay tiled roof and brick chimney stacks; bays 1 and 2 have 2-light leaded windows in brick- lined
openings; bay 3 is a wide open porch with side doorways into the forge (still in use as such January 1986) and the main
house. Interiors not seen. Attached on east side to Dillington Park Lodge (q.v).
