WHtTELACKINGTON CP BACK LANE (East side)
(formerly listed as The Cottage)
Cottage. Early C19. Ham stone rubble; thatched roof with coped gables; brick end and intermediate chimney stacks. Two
storeys, 4 bays. Casement windows of 2 lights, all 4-centre-arched heads with 'Y'-tracery, ovolo-moulded, with C20
ornamental leading; upper windows set into swept thatched dormers, the lower with brick-lined arches: to lower bay 3 a
pair of boarded doors set into matching opening. Older pattern leaded casement to lower level of north gable, and
lean-to garage attached to rear north-east corner. I nterior not seen.
