Boundary Stone on Road Island at Crimb
Boundary marker stone. Uncertain date. Ham stone, about 300mm x 200mm x 500mm high, with rebate apparently cut into
north face; Ordnance Survey benchmark on east face, and possible traces of lettering on south face. Currently on the
boundary between Seavington St Mary and Hinton St George parishes, it may well have marked the corner of the former
parish and its then boundary with Kingstone parish as well: four fields appear to have been added to the Seavington St
Mary Civil Parish at some stage.
