Churchyard cross. C15, recut and altered C17. Dressed stone. Base of 3 octagonal steps with dripmoulds, massive square
socket with broaches and an octagonal upper bed; tapering shaft, square on plan, capped by a ball finial, cut down from
its original height, south face enriched with a sculpture of St Michael with sword and shield in the act of vanquishing
the Dragon. The figure stands under a canopied niche upon a bracket, which is supported by 2 small carved figures of
priests in canonicals. (Pooley C, Old Crosses of Somerset, 1877; Pevsner N, Buildings of England, South and West
Somerset, 1958).
