Late C18, Council Chamber added circa 1860. Former Urban District Council Offices.
Stucco, slate gabled roof, ridge tiles, end brick chimney stacks, carved bargeboards
and finials. Two-storeys plus attic. Three window front, casements with horizontal
glazing bars, raised voussoirs and keystones. Central flat roof porch with Tuscan
columns, panelled door. Painted quoin stones. Dormer with modern clock face. To
right hand side Council Chamber and Offices. Stucco with slate roof; single storey.
Two casement windows and doorway to right.
