Sweeting and North family chest tomb in churchyard, about 10m South of South aisle, Church of St Mary

Chest tomb. Mid C18. Doulting ashlar. Ledger topped, moulded cornice, astragal frieze, moulded architrave, moulded
plinth, East and West ends curved out under moulded frieze, returned a short distance on North and South faces which
are inscribed to Hugh Sweeting died 1789, Anne his wife died 1779 and Anne North their daughter died 1750. An unusual
design. (Record of Churchyard Graves compiled by the Womens Institute, Stogumber).
