Farmhouse. Late medieval, enlarged circa 1600, altered mid C19, restored late C20. Roughcast over rubble, asbestos
slate roof, brick stack right gable end. Plan complex: 3 bay open hall house ceiled with 2 storey parlour end right.
coeval 2 storey kitchen cross wing left, additional 2 rooms at rear of cross wing containing small parlour. 2 storeys,
1:5 bays, 3-light casements in cross wing all other first floor windows C20 2-light casements, groundfloor 12 pane sash
windows, tripartite sash window to left of gabled porch with decorative bargeboards and plank door, entrance to cross
wing by external flight of steps to plank door on first floor. Interior not viewed: said to contain moulded 2 panel
compartment ceiling to right of wide cross passage, left featureless hall with lateral stack, modern grate, 2-centred
wooden doorframe leading to modified stair, hall roof 3 pairs of arch braced cruck trusses, 2 tiers of wind braces; one
of 2 small rooms to rear of kitchen wing, now store, said to contain plasterwork decoration on beams and cornice
frieze. A very unusual plan for this area of the county. (VAG Report unpublised SRO, December 1978).
