Cottage, now divided. Perhaps late C16 enlarged early C17. Roughcast over cob, thatched roof, brick stacks gable end
left, on cross wing and to right of entrance to No.2. Plan: block facing forth onto road with gabled cross wing and
stair projection on East side. One and a half storeys, 1:2 bays;, 2-light casement in gable end of cross wing, two
2-light dormers, ground floor cross wing lit left and right returns, latter beside plank door (No.1), inset entrance
(No.2) casement to right and 12 pane sash window outer bay right flanking entrance to No.3, all C20 plank doors. The
best surviving thatched cottage in the parish, a picturesque composition eloquently demonstrating the sculptural
qualities of cob. Interior not viewed.
