10/66 Hillside



Cottage. C17, restored late C20. Rendered probably over cob, thatched roof, hipped to left, brick stacks right gable
end, and over second bay left. Original plan not clear, now 3 cell with outshot at rear, entrance on left return. One
and a half storeys, 4 bays, C20 -light wooden dormer casement windows, ground floor irregulary placed fenestration,
second bay left 3-light casement window with remains of octagonal mullions and stall glazed opening higher to left, C20
3- 4- and 2-light casement windows right. Entrance on left return, C20 plank door, hipped thatched rustic porch; left
end wall perhaps rebuilt. Interior partially viewed; hollow chamfered beads end room right, chamfered lintel to
fireplace, bay to right perhaps original stair bay, chamfered beams with stops centre.
