10/34 Middle Halsway Farnhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. C16, altered C18, C19 and C20. Roughcast over rubble, Bridgwater patents on facade, triple Romans rear,
brick stacks gable ends, stone stack to right of cross passage. Plan: 3 cell and cross passage. One and a half storeys,
4 bays; 6-light mullioned and transomed windows with gables projecting through eaves, grcundfloor 5-light leaded
casement window left of entrance, two 3-light to right. C20 partially glazed door with stone pentice hood supported on
wrought iron brackets. Remains of 3-light mullions at rear, reputedly octagonal mullions, later additions at rear.
Interior, to right of cross passage 5 panel compartment ceiling with moulded beams (one panel missing), moulded wooden
lintel and moulded stone jambs to fire place. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, May 1980).
