South East of Townsend Farmhouse

2 footbridges, sheep dip, aqueduct, waterwheel and foot bridge in all about 30 metres in length. Blue lias random
rubble. Probably late C18. From the South end: pointed arch single span footbridge over stream, saddle back coping;
single arched span footbridge without parapet overlooking triangular sheep dip area of stream backed by 2 bay aqieduct
to North East, pointed arches; remains of small overshot iron water wheel to North with single spar bridge adjoining at
right angles. A rare survival.
