Farthing family chest tomb and
railings, in churchyard 12 metres
North East of chancel, Church of
Chest tomb and railings. Mid C19. Limestone. Gothic style. Ledger topped, marbled cornice with frieze of stylized
flowers, 3 bay arcades separated by stepped buttresses, deeply moulded plinth. Inscribed on top and sides to members
of the Farthing family. Dwarf, cast iron, Gothic style railings, slightly damaged but forming a handsome composition
with the chest tomb.
