GV II

Two cottages, now single dwelling. C16, altered late C20. Red sandstone random rubble, whitewashed facade, thatched
roof, external stone stack right gable end and left of through passage. Plan: originally 2 single cell cottages
separated by through passage, left cottage entered from through passage beside stack, right hand one entered from now
blocked entrance on facade. One and a half storeys, 2-bays, all C19 casement dormers rising from eaves with
weatherboarded gable ends, ground floor 3-light casement left of entrance, 2-light right below wooden lintel with
lintel to blocked entrance beyond; peaked C16 door frame with inserted jambs, stable type part-glazed door. Right
return, small glazed opening in chimney brest; left return leaded early C19 iron casement with segmental head,
buttress. Outshut addition at rear. Interior not seen.
