Farmhouse subsequently divided into 2 dwellings, now one. C16, divided into 2 cottages in C19, restored mid C20;
Slobbered rubble with sections of wall rebuilt in cob on rear elevation, thatched roof, half-hipped to left, tall C19
brick stack right gable end and rebuilt brick stack on stone base to left of cross passage with slate rocfed bread oven
projection on facade. Plan: possibly open hall house ceiled to 3-cell and cross passage. One and a half storeys, all
C20 wooden casements, 3 and 2-light casements rising from eaves flanking stack, ground floor openings under wooden
lintels, 3 left of entrance, one right, plank door with remains of peaked head to right of porch under thatched porch
projecting across bread oven. Right return single storey C20 addition and inserted C20 window; small lean-to addition
at rear. Interior: chamfered plank and muntin screen to through passage, lower end with chamfered lintel and winder
stair against rear wall. Hall entered via semi-circular headed doorway, moulded axial beams, but no evidence that
originally part of compartment ceiling. Bread oven inserted when became second kitchen. Lateral stairs set against rear
wall of inner room, chamfered beams with step and runout stops truncated by inserted windows in gable ends wall and by
stair. Changes of level on upper floor, collar bear roof. (VAG Report, unpublished SRO, August 1976).
