Pair of cottages. Probably late medieval with alterations. 2 storeys. Roughcast
front, most of which oversails at 1st floor level. Pantile roof. 3 windows. C19
sashes with some glazing bars. 2 large windows of 3 and 4 lights to ground floor.
One 6-panelled door, 1 small shop-front. Moulded beams in ground floor rooms.
Open timber roof with evidence of thatching.
Nos 4 and 4a form a group.
