Small row of C18 cottages, said to retain features of a late medieval farmhouse.
2 storeys, stepped uphill. Painted brick with painted rubble plinths. Continuous
pantiled roof with various brick chimney-stacks including one to the front of No
84. 5 windows. Upper floor has paired casements in wooden frames, glazing bars
intact. Ground floor windows have segmental heads with keystones. Sashes in moulded
wooden surrounds, glazing bars. 2 doorways with similarly treated heads. Modern
doors. Entrance to No 84 is to the left.
Nos 80 to 100 (even) including No 84a, and the Stone-flagged banks in fronyt of
Nos 76 to 100 (even) form an important group.
