Running along the south side of the road in front of these properties are 3 sections
of raised bank, which support stone steps and paths leading to the houses. Supporting
these banks, towards the lower (road) side, are large stone slabs. Approx. 2 ft
high in front of Nos 76 and 78, and over 6 ft in front of Nos 98 and 100. These
stone slabs containing the banks above the road are an essential feature of the
street scene.
Nos 80 to 100 (even) including No 84a, and the Stone-flagged banks in front of Nos
76 to 100 (even) form an important group.
